I used to get in trouble when I was younger for always staying inside, reading. A young girl getting in trouble for reading? Absurd, right? My parents have always encouraged my reading. One of my aunt would fill a bag worth of murder mystery and sci fi for me. I would love to go to my grandmother's basement just to see my uncle's collection of horror books. The covers were sick!

I would get excited for book sales and summer reading. You were rewarded with a prize on how many books you can read. I loved it.

I try to spend less time reading blogs and read a good book. I'm trying to build a library. I want to escape in a corner and read. And yes, I was called a "bookworm."

What are you reading now?

"Let your bookcases and your shelves be your gardens and your pleasure-grounds. Pluck the fruit that grows therein, gather the roses, the spices, and the myrrh." -Judah Ibn Tibbon

I used to get in trouble for reading too much too. My dad got so pissed off at me once that he grabbed my book and ripped it in half!

Too bad it was a library book ....
