Def Dom's Monthly Ipod'ic Voyage

May 2009

*De La Soul - Are You In?
This legendary trio can do no wrong in my eyes. A strong release after a 3 year hiatus is what these 3 bring to supper. I sincerely geek when ever I hear there is a new release from De La and this one definitely doesn't dissapoint. Put your headphones on and bump this on your way to the donuts shop dammit!

"Attack Of 'The Stet'"
"Greedy Man"

*Passion Pit - Manners
Now this is what I call a great mesh of noise, pop appeal, and screaching out of tune genius. There's nothing more intriguingly comforting to me then a beautiful mess and that's exactly what this album exudes.

"Little Secrets"
"The Reeling"
"Eyes As Candles"
"Swimming In The Flood"
"Folds In Your Hands"

*St. Vincent - Actor

Hard drums, Curly Hair, a Classical hint, and an innocent stare. I LOVE THIS ALBUM.

"Save Me From What I Want"
"The Party"
"Just The Same But Brand New"

Beats Of the Month:

Simply headphone sexy.

FlyamSam "The Offbeat" off the Ghostly Swim Album available for free download at

Warning: Your face may end up permanently ugly after you play this loud enough.

Hudson Mohawke "Overnight"

Honorable Bumps:

Micachu - "Hardcore"

Peaches - "Talk To me"

Jr And Ph7 - "Top Rank" feat. Guilty Simpson & Black Milk

Baja Panty Song Of The Month: (It's a tie folks but that's double the Baja Panty fun!)

Full Crate - "She Was Fly" feat. Mar
Mayer Hawthorne - "Just Ain't Gonna Work Out"
